About Department :

• Department of Zoology, one of the pioneer departments came into existence in 1979.It has two faculty members. The department caters to approximately 80 students. The department has well equipped two laboratories, stocked departmental library & Departmental laboratories have been renovated to provide students with infrastructure of high quality. The department has good instrumentation facilities like Microscopes, permanent slides, lab specimen for non-chordates and chordates phylum studies, different equipment's for experiments, glassware, chemicals, charts and models for anatomical studies. Along with this department has its own museum where students came across with variety of specimens and skeleton of different organisms. Moreover, department has its own library from where students are able to issue books of their respective. Additionally, assignments are also given to the students on regular basis. Regular group discussion of difficult topics also conducted. 
  Mission and vision
  1). To develop deeper understanding of key concepts of zoology at molecular, cellular level as well as physiology and reproduction at organism level.
  2). To learn the skills of handling various scientific equipment, designing and performing the laboratory experiments.
  3).  Enhance their scientific thinking and exhibit creativity in designing, planning, problem solving, model making for various scientific concepts.
